RIMS PAJAMA PARTY
On 1st April 2016, a Pajama party was organized by RIMS International School and Junior College from Grade 1 to Grade 6.The RIMS pajama party was scheduled from 8 pm in the evening to 8 am the next morning.Teachers welcomed the students as they arrived in school, brimming with excitement, in multi coloured pajamas, pillows in their hands and soft toys packed in their little backpacks. The students were first taken to the school terrace for a night of Star Gazing. An expert from Nehru Science Centre showed the students different planets and the star constellations with an advanced telescope. The football turf was decorated with bright, colourful lights and decorative items and music filled the air as students danced to the beat of the music. Hot tomato soup with croutons and buttered corn cobs were served as starters. Then the games began with Musical chairs, Dog and the Bone, Newspaper Dancing and many other fun games hosted by the teachers. Our CEO, Ms. Reshma Hawa, Head of Schools, Ms. June Dias and Business Development Manager, Ms.Vandana Agrawal were present and participated in all the activities. Dinner was an elaborate combination of Pastas, Pizzas and Garlic Bread with Tang. The Multi-Purpose Hall was converted into one big cozy bedroom, which was decorated with pink and blue balloons. The students cut a delicious customized pajama party cake. Butter popcorn was served as students relaxed to watch a movie called‘Inside Out’. Bedtime stories were read to the children followed by an energetic pillow fight before they finally went to bed. Next morning the kids performed Surya Namaskar and had a rocking session of Zumba dancing. A healthy breakfast with milk, cereal, cookies and bananas was served and then the children left with loads of memories to tell their friends and families. The kids had such an awesome time that they suggested that Rims should organize a pajama party every week.It was an overwhelming experience for all the students, teachers, management and all involved, making it a big success.
