Animals which are appreciated all over the world for their beauty and fierce nature. The incredible adaptations which blessed them colourful patterns and body structures. The animals bring life to a land and help to sustain ecological balance but due to the human greed these animals are on brink of extinction. The population of wild animals is decreasing and it’s becoming more and more difficult to sustain balance in the ecosystem. The wildlife needs to the conserved for the future generations to come and appreciate the nature’s beauty.
The major factors contributing for loss of wildlife are:-
1. The lack of natural habitats for entire population of animals as human encroachment continues on the borders on forests.
2. Hunting of animals for their valuable body parts, trophy hunting, pet industry.
3. Changing climate also makes the animals suffer from extreme conditions and eventually die. Some effects of Australian bush fires https://youtu.be/ZkdMGfJz-wU
There are far more factors affecting wildlife and disturbing the ecological balance, in addition to that some of natural factors affect wildlife like invasive species and diseases.
Many of ecologists and wildlife biologist say that with the continuing rates of destruction many of the endangered species will be extinct within coming decades. The graph by UN shows the increase in threatened species.
There are many ways in which we can help the animals by working with the agencies by helping them with the fund raising activities.

How wildlife conservation can help you with your college?
There are many volunteer programs which help you build your application for university by providing you work experience with the endangered animals. You can find many projects like this on:- Goeco volunteer programs. https://www.goeco.org/tags/volunteer- . Volunteer HQ programs. https://www.volunteerhq.org/volunteer-abroad-projects/wildlife-and-animal-care/
How you can influence people to join the act of wildlife conservation?
1. You can use your photographs to spread awareness about animals and their interactions with the nature and humans by posting it on community pages.
2. Working with organisations to organise events to promote wildlife conservation, illigal wildlife trafficking. With my knowledge to this organisations I would recommend to work with RAWW :- https://www.raww.in/
From my experience working with animal is a very interesting thing and it will help you to understand the animals and it will break down the myths and fears which doesn’t make sense. If you are into veterinary sciences I strongly recommend you to get at least one volunteer program or work with wildlife department to get a head start in your career.
