As a parent, I have always wanted the best for my children. I knew their life depends greatly on the choice that I make and thus selecting the right formal school was one of the most important decision to shape their life. After all, School is the institution that lays a strong foundation for every child and puts a child on a lifelong path of learning.
With this in mind, I decided to choose RIMS International School and Junior College, for my child as it is one of the best Cambridge IGCSE and A levels Schools in Andheri west.
RIMS consists of well-experienced and dedicated management. The actual workforce behind the school- the Management- can really make or break a school. At RIMS, the management has adequate experience of running the school and knows how to handle the challenges encountered in day-to-day working of a school. They play a strong role in molding a student’s career. This makes RIMS my preference and also of major parents.
Gone are the days when education referred to only books and notebooks. Today character building is also the goal of education. It is very necessary to educate both minds and hearts of pupils. At RIMS, education imparted focuses on both learning and practicing Life Skills such as English Conversation, Thinking Skills, Personality Development, etc. through Literary activities, Kleinetics, Dance, Sports classes held every week in the school. Thus, the school is a perfect platform for my child’s holistic development. The responsibility of parents for imbibing good qualities in children is well shared by the school.
The Advanced level qualifications (known as A levels) being pursued by my daughter has enabled her to select subjects of her choice. She has chosen a combination of subjects from Commerce stream (Business and Economics) and Arts (Psychology). Unlike the traditional subject choice system where a student has to necessarily take up all 3 Commerce subjects, my daughter was allowed to take up 2 subjects only. She also had the flexibility to select subjects from 2 streams. This has self-motivated her to work hard with subjects of her liking. In addition, selection from a group of different subjects has opened options for her for the future from career and further education perspective.
Learning of Commerce subjects takes place through a lot of discussion, real life examples, mock sessions, field trips, team learning, peer teaching, direct interaction with businesses and more such methodologies. This has increased my child’s thinking ability and learning is both fun and interesting for her. She is able to face challenges of today’s business world due to this approach in teaching followed in RIMS.
I have chosen this school for my children for the following reasons:
